HBO Renew Game of Thrones at Top Speed

HBO Game of Thrones wins lots of attention. After its first broadcast, HBO renews its second season.

It attracts about 4.2million audience at its first broadcast. It's a very good record for HBO

According to Entertainment Weekly, the renewal seemed imminent because of the “big investment” HBO put into trusting the success of the show.

President of Programming at HBO, Michael Lombardo, said in an official announcement that, “We are delighted by the way David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have brought George R.R. Martin’s amazing book series to the screen, and thrilled by the support of the media and our viewers…This is the continuation of an exciting creative partnership."

The show isn’t the only one to be renewed after a short start. The heavily touted Boardwalk Empire was renewed after its premiere was viewed by 4.8 million people.

The show is based off the successful Songs of Fire and Ice fantasy books collection by George R.R. Martin.
